Norcross-based Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) varsity boys tennis team won the 2026 National High School Tennis Championship, defeating seven of the country’s best teams.

The tournament took place Feb. 27 and 28 in Orlando, FL, at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus. Other participating teams included Baylor School, McCallie School, American Heritage, Saint Andrew’s School, Sidwell Friends School, Harvard-Westlake School, and Punahou School.

GAC won its pool division by defeating Baylor (5–2), Punahou (5–2), and St. Andrews (7–0) to advance to the championship match against American Heritage, the winner of the opposite pool.

GAC swept all three doubles matches: Harrison Kemp and Marcello Bisogno won 6-2, Santi Bisogno and Jason Eigbedion won 6-3, and Fredy Dougah and Brady Gessner won 6-2.

Following the doubles matches, all six singles matches were played simultaneously, requiring three victories to win the tournament. The first win came from Marcello Bisogno (6-1, 6-0), the second from Gessner (6-3, 6-1), and Kemp (6-3, 6-3) to give GAC the third and final victory needed.

At the moment of Kemp’s clinch, GAC was ahead in the other three singles matches:
Eigbedion at 6-2, 5-1, Santi Bisogno at 6-2, 3-3, and Dugah at 6-2, 3-2. With 69 state championship titles for sports teams at GAC, including the last three tennis state championships, it is the school’s first national title.

Under head coach Brett Harte and assistant coach Scott Hutchinson, the boy’s tennis team is at a historic peak, a release about the championship said.

“Coach Harte attributes a portion of his program’s success to GAC’s dynamic hybrid program. Hybrid learning has helped his team meet the rigors of the classroom while also allowing time for elite-level training.”
