The Brookhaven Police Department is asking for help from the public regarding a shooting incident that occurred on March 22.

According to a release from the department, police have released videos and photographs of a person of interest.

Police are looking for a white or Hispanic male last seen wearing a black hat, a blue jacket, dark pants, and carrying a black tote bag with tan straps.

“On March 22, at approximately 9:52 a.m., officers responded to a call transferred from the Atlanta Police Department and, upon arrival, located the victim, a 75-year-old male, in the Cherokee Plaza parking lot, located at 3871 Peachtree Road, near the southwest corner of the plaza,” the release said.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the abdominal area and was transported for medical treatment. This case remains under active investigation by the Brookhaven Police.
