The Sandy Springs Society announced the recipients of its 2026 Philanthropy Grant Awards during the nonprofit’s annual spring meeting, awarding 45 grants totaling $380,000 to dozens of organizations serving the community.
Thanks to the continued generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community supporters, the society was able to distribute a record-breaking amount in grants this year.

The grants support programs and initiatives aligned with the nonprofit’s five philanthropic pillars: arts, education, environment, heritage, and social services.
Keeping nonprofits running
Since its founding in 1988, the society has awarded more than $5.7 million to nonprofits that strengthen and enrich the Sandy Springs community. The nonprofit is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Sandy Springs through volunteerism, fundraising, and philanthropic support of local nonprofit organizations.
Funding for the 2026 grants is possible through proceeds from the Society’s two signature fundraising events, Elegant Elf Marketplace and Tossed Out Treasures. Members of the society’s philanthropy committee will be delivering their checks in the coming weeks.
The society’s annual grants program supports a wide range of nonprofit initiatives that improve the quality of life across the community. Grant recipients represent organizations dedicated to serving children and families, expanding access to the arts and education, preserving local heritage, protecting the environment, and providing critical social services.
Sandy Springs Society President Tiffany Wray said her team is honored to support crucial services in the community.
“Philanthropy has been at the heart of our mission since the organization was founded, and these grants reflect the incredible commitment of our members, volunteers, and supporters,” Wray said. “Their dedication through our fundraising events allows us to make a meaningful and lasting impact throughout Sandy Springs.”
