The City of Norcross is celebrating the recent enhancements and transformation of Norcross Discovery Garden Park on June 9, at 3:30 p.m. at 219 Lawrenceville Street.
A city spokesperson said a ribbon-cutting ceremony will highlight the park’s new interactive and sustainable landscape features, including native plantings designed to support pollinators, educational garden spaces, youth sensory exploration areas, and new community gathering features.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to get a close-up look at Sage, the park’s new bronze white squirrel sculpture, as a part of the Norcross Public Arts Commission’s interactive public arts project. The park is on the grounds of the historic Norcross Welcome Center and Museum.
The park features organic gardening, with community members renting more than 45 beds annually. This year, the Food Well Alliance selected Norcross Discovery Park Garden as a Community Garden Improvement Grant recipient.
City officials, members of the Norcross Discovery Garden Park Board, project partners, and community supporters are expected to attend and speak at the June 9 ceremony.
