June is coming in hot
Thursday, May 28 β This edition of Crosswalk is a day late, but I promise it’s worth the wait. We’ve got a link to the June of Georgia Voice featuring our guide to Pride Celebrations across the Peach State and much more. Scroll down for the link.
But first, a few news headlines:
π The Democratic Party had a pointed response to creepy White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller after he posted that Texas Senate candidate James Talarico was transgender. Talarico, who is cis and straight but an LGBTQ+ ally, will face off against the anti-trans Texas AG Ken Paxton in November.
π The Stonewall National Monument in New York has officially been declared one of the Most Endangered Historic Places in the U.S. following repeated attacks on the site by the Trump administration..
π¨π¦ Canada is reportedly fast-tracking citizenship for some LGBTQ+ Americans who have become concerned for their safety and healthcare status.
π―οΈPoliticians and activists pay tribute to trailblazing β and often controversial β U.S. Congressman Barney Frank, who died May 19 at the age of 86. Frank was the first openly gay member of Congress.
Kiss me while the world decays…
