Norcross is hosting its annual Red, White & Boom fireworks show, free and open to the public, on Friday, July 3, at Lillian Webb Park from 5 to 10 p.m.

Before the fireworks light up the sky at dusk (or about 9:40 p.m.), the city has live music from The A-Town A-List, food from local vendors, face painting, and other family activities.

What to know

The city announced that downtown parking will cease after noon on July 3, and several downtown streets will close at 2 p.m. Affected roads include Jones Street, Wingo Street, Skin Alley, South Peachtree Street, College Street, Britt Avenue, and Lawrenceville Street.

Holcomb Bridge Road, Buford Highway, and North Peachtree Street will remain open throughout the day.

Event parking is available at One Heart Church at 706 North Peachtree Street and Norcross First Global Methodist Church at 2500 Beaver Ruin Road. The city has a complimentary shuttle running continuously between pick-up and drop-off locations, at the corner of Thrasher Street and Park Drive.

The Norcross Presbyterian Church will be the celebration’s official first aid, lost child pick-up, and cooling station at 89 Jones Street. Norcross officials encourage visitors and residents to prepare for extreme heat.

Open containers are only allowed within barricaded areas, and glass is not allowed. Tents and umbrellas are also not allowed because they may block patrons’ views
