The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the United States, and many organizations across Atlanta are upping the ante this July 4. This year, Independence Day falls on a Saturday, and there are several opportunities in Tucker and across DeKalb to celebrate over the holiday weekend.

Tucker and DeKalb Events

Fantastic Fourth Celebration

July 1-6, 9:30 p.m. nightly

Stone Mountain Park

Named as one of the best Fourth of July fireworks shows in the country by Reader’s Digest, Stone Mountain’s beloved Fourth of July show gets a refresh for America’s 250th anniversary. The new drone and light show will feature a formation of 250 drones creating the image of an eagle.

Tickets are available to get access to both the Stone Mountain Park attractions and the light and firework show or for the light show only. The show begins at 9:30 p.m. every night, but park officials suggest arriving before 5 p.m. to avoid crowds, especially on July 4. Mountain Memberships are valid for all dates during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration instead of July 4.
