Dunwoody Woman’s Club’s 53rd Annual Home Tour will be held on October 2, featuring three exceptional private homes – two in Sandy Springs and one in Dunwoody, each offering a unique architectural style, beautiful interiors and inspiring landscaping.
One of this year’s highlights, according to a release from the organization, is a home in Sandy Springs that has been completely transformed into a stunning modern farmhouse.
The property features award-winning gardens, a fine art collection, and a model railroad room with winding tracks, miniature towns, bridges, and intricate scenery.
“The display is so remarkable that the homeowners open it to the public annually, making it one of the tour’s most memorable attractions,” the release said.
The Dunwoody Woman’s Club, in existence since 1971, is partnering with the Dunwoody Fine Art Association, bringing “en plein air” [in full] artists to paint in the gardens of two of the featured homes. Guests can watch the artists at work and purchase original artwork directly from the easel or browse additional pieces in a boutique gallery.
The home tour has been the Dunwoody Woman’s Club’s signature fundraiser for 53 years and has become a cherished community tradition. The proceeds allow the club to support programs in arts and culture, civic engagement and outreach, education and libraries, environment, and health and wellness.
Last year, the organization awarded scholarships to incoming Georgia Tech students, Samantha Stetter and Andrew Halligan, with some of its fundraising proceeds. Throughout the year, members, along with providing social outings, have supported local animal shelters with donations, collected magazines for distribution to senior living homes, and donated supplies to local schools, like Hightower Elementary and gathered art supplies for the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence in Decatur.
Since 2005, the home tour has raised more than $600,000 for charitable projects,
awarded more than $135,000 in scholarships to local students, and supported local organizations, including the Dunwoody Nature Center, Community Action Center, Spruill Center for the Arts, Stage Door Theatre, and programs aiding children and military veterans.

Advance tickets are $35 ($40 on the day of the tour). Addresses of the featured homes are provided with ticket purchase to protect the privacy of the homeowners.
