Taste of Tucker, the city’s annual food festival, returns to Main Street on Oct. 3 for its 17th consecutive year with food and drinks from local restaurants and breweries, live music, and community-driven fundraising.

Since its inaugural year in 2010, Taste of Tucker has grown from 500 attendees to attracting more than 7,000 people to raise funds for local organizations. This year, more than 30 restaurants and breweries will be serving appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks.

Taste of Tucker attendees can try food from participating restaurants by “paying” with Taste Tickets. Ten Taste Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased, along with merch and VIP entry, on Taste of Tucker’s website.

Along with food and drinks, attendees will also enjoy shopping from arts-and-crafts vendors, free Kids’ Zone, and live music by The Dammages at 1 p.m. and Brotherhood at 3:45 p.m.

Taste of Tucker ticket and merch sales will benefit Camp Kudzu, a non-profit serving young people living with type 1 diabetes, and NETWorks Cooperative Ministry, an organization providing food, clothing, and rent support to neighbors living in poverty.

The full event schedule and more information can be found on Taste of Tucker’s website.
