Gabriela Henriquez Stoikow is a Venezuelan bilingual journalist working for 285 South, Metro Atlanta’s only English language news publication dedicated to the region’s immigrant and refugee communities. She has previously worked at The Miami Herald as a politics intern, at CNN, fact-checking the network’s content, and at Miami Today Newspaper, where she reported on local government. In Venezuela, she worked at the investigative journalism outlets RunRun.es and Armando.info, covering politics, human rights, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Gabriela has a bachelor’s degree in Social Communications from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and a master’s degree from Columbia University. She is a graduate fellow from the Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism. She won the Atlanta Press Club’s Rising Star Award in 2025.
