To infinity and beyond
Friday, April 10 — It’s Cathy, Katie, and Stephanie with our weekly newsletter. It’s spring break for most schools. Enjoy that lack of traffic for the last few days. People (Cathy) who think they can get to yoga class in just seven minutes, like they did this week, need to forget that ever happened.
We’ll get to the news, but first, a few items of interest.
🚗 The Tucker cruise-in is back. Tucker Cruise-In is a non-profit, old-fashioned town meet-and-greet car show located on Main Street. Note: The first one is tomorrow, April 11, and will be held on the second Saturday of every month through October. The revving of the engines starts at 10 a.m.
🚮 Join the City of Tucker on April 11 for a morning of community service, fresh air, and free breakfast at the 15th annual Great American Cleanup at Tucker Nature Preserve. Together, the group will tackle trail maintenance, litter cleanup, and invasive plant removal to keep the park beautiful for everyone.
🎭 Main Street Theatre’s production of “Shakespeare in Hollywood” by Ken Ludwig blends Shakespearean fantasy and comedy with a fictionalized account of an actual motion picture production. Here’s the plotline: The year is 1934, and Warner Bros. Studio is filming an adaptation of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Two fictional characters from Shakespeare’s script, Oberon and Puck, transcend time and space to magically appear on set. No words or notes. Buy tickets here.
🌸 Have a great weekend,
Cathy, Katie, and Stephanie

Town Green quickly becoming a favorite destination
🛝 In November 2025, Tucker residents celebrated the opening of Tucker Town Green, the city’s new two-acre public space designed to catalyze economic development in downtown. The $8.6 million park includes a stage, state-of-the-art public bathrooms, two playgrounds, fountains, and a bike repair station.
After only a few months, Matthew Lee, the Executive Director of the Tucker-Northlake Community Improvement District, said that the park is already having a positive impact on downtown Tucker. In a blog post, Lee wrote that approximately 11,000 people visited Tucker Town Green from Jan. 1 to March 15.
During this two-and-a-half-month span, the average visitor stayed for 54 minutes, 55% of visitors returned at least once, and 26% visited four or more times. The peak time of day for visits was 2 p.m., and the peak days were Fridays and Saturdays.
