The Sandy Springs Whole Foods Market, located at 5930 Roswell Rd., celebrated its grand reopening with a series of in-store activities, including cooking demonstrations, Oct. 26 to 28.
The reopening came after the store’s $5.5 million renovation more than doubled the size of the existing store to 50,000 square feet. The facility, however, never closed to its loyal customers who have been visiting the store for the past seven years.
The large increase of square footage came after the store took over the space next door that was formerly occupied by a yoga studio.
“We listened to what our customers were looking for and incorporated many of those ideas into the renovations,” said store team leader David Azzolino. “It’s an even better store than before and we’re excited to finally show it off to our shoppers.”
The new features include the following:
-8,000 square foot farmer’s market-style produce department with a more extensive selection
-Burrito bar and expanded hot and salad bars
-45 foot butcher-style meat counter
-Smoked meats bar
-35 foot seafood case
-Expanded bulk and grocery departments
