Electronics RecyclingAtlanta Habitat for Humanity is hosting a one-time electronics recycling day on Saturday, August 1, in partnership with Georgia E-Waste. Recyclable electronics may be dropped off in the parking lot of the Atlanta Habitat warehouse at 500 Woodward Ave. 30312, from  12 noon to 4:00 PM.  A Georgia E-Waste truck will be available to receive recyclable products. 

 

Georgia E-Waste is one of the companies, along with One Economy Corporation and the Manheim Corporation, to partner with Atlanta Habitat in providing new and re-furbished computers to Atlanta Habitat homeowners as part of a new technology program. 

 

Accepted E-Waste products:  Audio/Visual Equipment, Computer Mouse/Mice, DVD Players, Keyboards, MP3 Players, Power Supplies, Server Cabinets, Stereo Equipment, TVs, Cell Phones, Computers/Printers, Fax Machines, Microwaves, Pagers, Speakers, Telephone Equipment, Vacuum Cleaners, Computer Components, Copiers, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals, Miscellaneous Computer Peripherals, Palm Pilots, Projectors, Steel and Alloy Rims, Telephone Systems, VCR’s, Coaxial Cables, Digital Cameras, Household Batteries, Monitors, Power Cables, Scanners, Steel Scrap, Toner Cartridges, Video Game Systems, Walkmans, Wire, Wireless Devices 

 

There is a $10 charge for receipt and recycling of all televisions, regardless of size. 

 

Products not accepted: Car Batteries, Household Appliances, Furniture, Lamps, Light Fixtures, Smoke Detectors 

 

After dropping off electronic recycling donations, you are encouraged to shop at the Atlanta Habitat ReStore. Located at the corner of Memorial Drive and Loomis Avenue, the discount store sells home improvement merchandise to the public at up to 75% off retail prices.  Store hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
