On Tuesday, Aug. 11, there will be a “citywide conversation” on community benefits of the BeltLine, the proposed 22-mile streetcar/light rail line around the city. Atlanta BeltLine Inc., which is overseeing the project, is developing policies and procedures that will ensure that impacted communities will benefit from the BeltLIne. Drawing on best practices from around the country and community input, the goal is to create a consistent set of expectations for residents, developers, businesses and the city.
The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 437 Mitchell Street SW. If you want to take MARTA, Vine City is the closest station. For more details, visit www.beltline.org.
