The Farm-to-Festival Village showcases the fresh-from-the-farm food movement that’s changing the way Americans eat. The Village will offer tastes from Atlanta’s local sustainable restaurants, an interactive cooking stage, fresh farmers market and displays offering resources and information about this movement.
Some of Atlanta’s most renowned chefs and restaurants participating in this year’s Taste of Atlanta will serve up tantalizing tastes on the Farm-To-Festival cooking stage. Participants Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House, as well as Jay Swift of 4th & Swift, Antonio Abizanda of La Grotta, Nick Melvin of Parish, Paul Agnelli of Cellar 56, James Satterwhite of Ritz Carlton Buckhead and David Larkworthy of 5 Seasons Brewing.
Chefs will demonstrate how to prepare fresh, farm-to-table meals and inspire patrons to create their own. Each guest chef is expected to share personal anecdotes surrounding the sustainable movement as well as how they deliver the concept to the tables at their respective eateries daily.
The Farmers Market area of the Village will be the place for attendees to stock up on the freshest fruits, vegetables, cheeses and other local Southern products perfect for their very own fresh, farm-to-table dinner. Several notable Georgia farmers will be on hand in this area such as Buckeye Creek Farm, Fairywood Thicket, Rocking S Farm, Hidden Springs Farm and the award winning Flat Creek Lodge.
In all, more than 80 restaurants will take part in the festival, which will include not only tastings of food but also wine and beer. Chef demos, a kids’ area, live music and more.
