From casual spots to fine-dining establishments, family-style dining menus and entrees serving multiple people have become more commonplace at restaurants around Atlanta. These meals are also a practical and affordable way to feed a small crowd, taking the guesswork out of what and how much to order. Everybody wins.
From a platter of steak to chicken dinners to whole fish entrees, here are five local restaurants serving meals designed for sharing.

Last Dance
The menu at Last Dance in Avondale Estates is built for sharing. Groups of two to four people can kick off a meal here with bread service ($16), which includes sourdough, hoe cakes, and spreads like butter and jam. For entrees to feed the table, order the half-chicken with gyoza sauce and scallions ($25), or the Filipino-style stuffed, whole fish garnished with herbs and spicy sauce. Pricing on the fish varies with the market.
Ticonderoga Club
Atlanta is loaded with steakhouses. But this Eastside Beltline restaurant and bar serves one of the city’s most iconic steak dinners, complete with a little fanfare when it’s headed to the table. The Chuck Wagon comprises a 48-ounce chargrilled, Black Angus steak sliced up on a platter and paired with fresh horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and a parsley-red onion salad. It also comes with a choice of two sides. For $200, this meaty meal easily feeds up to six people, and could even stretch to feed eight. When you hear the cling-clanging of the cowbell in the dining room, a Chuck Wagon is on the way.
So. Fox
Feeding up to four people, the “Big” whole chicken ($68) roasted with Vidalia onions in a mustard jus has become so popular at So. Fox that it often sells out. But if you’re looking for another option at the newly minted Michelin-starred restaurant in Virginia-Highland, the grilled beef ($46) with garlic chives, spiced shishito, and spiced beef tallow is more than a worthy replacement. Throw in some side dishes, like the chestnut dumplings, delicata squash with farmer’s cheese, or Sea Island peas with fairytale eggplant.

Miller Union
The Friday night Market Menu at Miller Union provides a four-course meal (with dessert) for $65 per person. Not that hungry? One prix-fixe meal is easily shared between two people. Simply order one Market Menu to split and supplement it by adding an additional entree or appetizer. The bill for food still comes in just under $100.
Pollo Asado Sinaloense
This Buford Highway institution serves quarter, half, and whole Sinaloan-style grilled chicken meals. For around $40, a whole chicken dinner includes generous helpings of rice and beans, sauces, and tortillas for creating tacos. Can’t make it to Doraville? Consider heading to Pollo Primo in East Atlanta, Las Brasas in Decatur, or Wyld Byrd, which is open for dinner at Home Grown, for your pollo asado fix.
