Nourish WaterAtlanta fashion designer Bill Hallman has opened his first Buckhead store, Bill Hallman Studio, at 3400 Around Lenox Drive in the 1,000 square foot space that was formerly Blue Genes Kids. Bill Hallman Studio is the first in a roll-out of small neighborhood stores, customized to each area.  This one will offer a new collection of brands catering to the Buckhead fashionista. In addition to his own designs, the back of the store will house the designer’s first-ever open design studio featuring his internship program. The internship program will be comprised of fashion design students who will create six to eight original pieces – a mini collection – under his tutelage.  The pieces will be sold in the store under the interns’ own private label.

Lara Hodgson, formerly with Dewberry Capital, has co-founded Nourish Inc., a patented line of bottled waters for babies and toddlers.  Nourish products are sold at airports, specialty retail stores, restaurants and other locations.  She invented the product and serves as the company’s CEO, overseeing all aspects of the

Explorations Travel, founded by Jean Pickard and Jennifer Campbell (pictured), is marking its 20th anniversary by holding a photography contest in search of the photograph that highlights the principles on which the company was founded: adventure, passion for travel, and love for the exotic. Area Urban Interiors has moved from the Edgewood Retail District and moved in with its sister store, Traders, at 485 Flat Shoals Ave. in East Atlanta Village. The newly branded Traders & Area is now selling a mixture of urban, contemporary and classic furniture and accessories for the home and loft.

LUX salon has moved into The Jane building on Memorial Drive in Grant Park. The new 1,943-square-foot will feature two-stories, with the upstairs being used for special events. The Jane is also home to Six Feet Under.

Buckhead Pilates studio Core has opened a second location on the Westside at 1170 Howell Mill Road, Suite P-15 in the White Provisions development. The studio is also offering Gyrotonic, a program with exercises similar to yoga and Pilates, and Barre Blend fitness class, which uses ballet techniques.

Sunrise Senior Living will host a special educational workshop (with free lunch) called Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Discussion will include steps to financial freedom, solutions for every state of life and creating a financial plan.
