Act 3 Productions has selected Sandy Springs Plaza, on the corner of Johnson Ferry and Roswell Roads, as the location of its new community theatre.
The new theatre’s first production, a musical called Striking 12, will open on Thursday, Jan. 7 and run through Saturday, Jan. 9. Act 3 will hold open auditions for parts in the performances on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 24 and 25.
Striking 12 tells three stories in one, chronicling New Years Eve celebrations in contemporary New York City, 19th century Denmark, and the room in which the show is presented. The musical script is described as “witty pop/rock/jazz.”
