Sandy Springs city officials, dignitaries and members of the public will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at an event Monday, Jan. 18, at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Sandy Springs City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
During the event, the city will name the fourth recipient of its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award. This person embodies the humanitarian spirit of Dr. King and has made significant contributions to the community.
The event will feature choral tributes, readings and a keynote address by radio personality Herman Cain.
