The Sandy Springs Planning Commission voted 4-1 to approve rezoning a former bed and breakfast on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road for use as a Buddhist meditation center. Several neighbors spoke against the Rameshori Buddhist Center’s request, saying the center could create traffic problems and should not be on a septic tank system. Commission members said the center should be limited each year to five events that would attract crowds requiring more than 41 parking spaces. Commissioner Roger Rupnow cast the sole vote against the request.
