Construction and home-remodeling businesses may be picking up in Sandy Springs. Of the 80 new business licenses issued by the city of Sandy Springs in January, eight went to companies listing construction, remodeling, roofing or related activities as their business classification. Of the 138 business licenses issued during the last three months of 2009, 11 were for construction or remodeling businesses.
