The following information was provided to the Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.
Aggravated assault
Unit block of Roanoke Avenue – A man was at a house to move out his belongings when he said his girlfriend’s mother pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him Feb. 26.
2400 block of Northside Parkway – A woman said a man slammed her to the ground Feb. 26 after the two of them had an argument.
Auto theft
4500 block of Millbrook Drive – A man left his vehicle unlocked with the keys inside it at a home construction site around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 23, and when he returned 30 minutes later, the vehicle was gone.
3700 block of Roswell Road – A red 2007 Dodge Magnum was stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 1:20 a.m. Feb. 27.
Unit block of Irby Avenue – A Chevrolet Avalanche was stolen from the parking lot of Henri’s Bakery on the morning of Feb. 25 after the driver left the key on the left rear tire.
3000 block of Piedmont Road – A man who rented a black 2010 Chevrolet Impala from Enterprise Rent-a-Car never brought the car back. It was due to be returned Jan. 21.
1100 block of Collier Road – A white 2000 Ford Mustang was stolen Feb. 27.
1700 block of Howell Mill Road – A silver 2003 GMC Sonoma was stolen Feb. 27 after someone swiped the keys from an employee area, an act caught on surveillance video.
1300 block of Marietta Boulevard – A dump truck and trailer, a mini-excavator, and a skid steer were stolen from a construction company’s fenced lot between noon Feb. 20 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 22.
2000 block of Peachtree Road – A 1998 Honda Accord was stolen between Feb. 21 and 26.
Larceny from auto
4300 block of Lake Forrest Drive – A window was broken out of a gray 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe midday Feb. 23, and a purse was stolen.
3500 block of Lenox Road – A black Cadillac’s window was smashed Feb. 24, but nothing was taken.
3500 block of Peachtree Road – Earrings, a GPS unit, a BlackBerry phone, a scarf, a checkbook and cosmetics were stolen from a 2006 Dodge Charger parked at Phipps Plaza between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Feb. 23.
3800 block of Roswell Road – A 2004 Ford F-150 was broken into between 7 and 8:30 p.m. outside Lee’s Golden Buddha. The stolen items included briefcases, checkbooks, a wallet, $15 in cash and a couple of laptop computers belonging to the federal government.
700 block of Lindbergh Drive – A car was broken into late Feb. 20 or early Feb. 21, but nothing was stolen.
2300 block of Piedmont Road – Two vehicles at Pep Boys, a white 1995 Isuzu Rodeo and a blue 2003 Dodge R15, were damaged and had their radios stolen early Feb. 26.
2600 block of Piedmont Road – A man purchased several electronic items from the Apple Store at Lenox Square, then drove to Marshall’s for further shopping just before 4 p.m. Feb. 27. While he was in Marshall’s, his vehicle was broken into, and all of the Apple merchandise was stolen. The victim suspects he was followed from the Apple Store.
Unit block of East Andrews Drive – A purse was stolen from the front seat of a vehicle while the owner was in Souper Jenny for five minutes just before noon Feb. 23.
2900 block of Pharr Court South – A black 1996 Acura TL, a silver 2003 Mitsubishi Outback, a blue 2009 Subaru Impreza and a white 2009 Nissan Sentra were broken into at the Westminster at Buckhead overnight Feb. 25. The items stolen included two GPS units and several credit cards.
3200 block of Roswell Road – A black wool jacket was stolen from a green 1999 Ford Expedition at 12:20 a.m. Feb. 21. The victim said he saw the culprit, but when police stopped the suspect, he did not have the jacket.
900 block of Collier Road – Sunglasses were stolen from a red 2006 Jeep Wrangler at Post Collier overnight Feb. 26.
400 block of Lindbergh Drive – A CD player and a radar detector were stolen from a 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier early Feb. 23.
2200 block of Peachtree Road – The wheels and rims were taken off a black 2007 Cadillac Escalade overnight Feb. 25, and the vehicle was left on cinder blocks.
400 block of Pine Tree Drive – A window was broken out of a gray 2001 Toyota Tundra between 2 and 3 p.m. Feb. 26, and $972 in cash was stolen.
1000 block of Collier Road – An air tank, a gas drill, a pipe saw, a blower, a pipe wrench and other tools were stolen from the bed of a PM Construction work truck overnight Feb. 22.
1300 block of Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard – Two cases of CDs were stolen from a 2003 Ford Expedition at GCL Limo early Feb. 23.
1300 block of Northside Drive – A GPS unit was stolen from a blue 2006 Ford F-150 between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 21 and noon the next day.
Other larceny
3500 block of Peachtree Road – Two women were arrested after trying to steal $106 in merchandise from Belk at 8 p.m. Feb. 24.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter became violent when confronted by T.J. Maxx security and escaped around 8:15 p.m. Feb. 26, but he was arrested within an hour after trying to shoplift at a nearby Marshall’s and being subdued by police.
3300 block of Lenox Road – A woman left her purse at the front desk of the J.W. Marriott for about five minutes Feb. 26, and items including cash and credit cards were taken from the bag.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 16-year-old girl, a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy were arrested at Bloomingdale’s at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21 after trying to steal $525 worth of merchandise.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A man was arrested at Macy’s after trying to steal $180 in merchandise at 9 p.m. Feb. 21.
3500 block of Peachtree Road – A woman was caught shoplifting at Publix at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Bloomingdale’s at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 22.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A woman was arrested and two girls were detained at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 after they tried to steal merchandise from Macy’s.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – Two 16-year-olds were arrested at Macy’s just before noon Feb. 26 after trying to steal $2,184 in merchandise.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Bloomingdale’s at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Bloomingdale’s at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 27 after he tried to steal $50 in merchandise.
3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 16-year-old boy was arrested at Bloomingdale’s the night of Feb. 27 after trying to steal $700 in merchandise.
2600 block of Piedmont Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Marshall’s at 3 p.m. Feb. 22.
2600 block of Piedmont Road – A shoplifter was caught trying to steal a pair of shoes from Marshall’s at 4 p.m. Feb. 23.
2500 block of Piedmont Road – A shoplifter was caught at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 26.
3400 block of Habersham Road – Items such as clothing and furniture disappeared from a home being prepared for an estate sale between Feb. 8 and 23.
3200 block of Peachtree Road – A Marshall’s employee’s purse was stolen from a secured area of the store Feb. 23, and fraudulent charges later were made on the woman’s credit card.
300 block of Pharr Road – A man’s watch was stolen from his cousin’s Atrium at Buckhead apartment Feb. 21.
Unit block of West Paces Ferry Road – A diamond ring and cash were stolen from a room at the St. Regis Hotel on Feb. 20.
1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Walmart at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 21.
1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A man stole a cellphone from a display case at the Verizon Wireless store at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24.
1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Walmart with $36 worth of merchandise Feb. 25 at 8:30 p.m.
1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A Walmart employee was caught on video stealing money from a cash drawer Feb. 26 at 8:30 p.m.
Unit block of Spinning House Place – A collections agency contacted a man Feb. 25 about a past-due AT&T bill for $515.76 on an account the man knew nothing about. Someone had opened the account using his Social Security number.
2500 block of Edwards Drive – An air conditioner was stolen from a home between Feb. 22 and 24.
1600 block of Southland Circle – The copper wires and pipes were stolen from an air-conditioning unit at the Piedmont National Corp. building between Jan. 28 and Feb. 22.
Unit block of Bennett Street – A woman said her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at work the afternoon of Feb. 19.
1900 block of Peachtree Road – A woman’s wallet was stolen from her purse around 1 p.m. Feb. 18, and her credit and debit cards then were used multiple times.
Burglary
4100 block of Rickenbacker Drive – The key box and door knob were stolen off an unoccupied house, and a cooktop was swiped from the kitchen Feb. 24 or 25.
900 block of Canterbury Road – A woman arrived home at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Overlook at Lindbergh to find her door frame damaged and a 32-inch television missing.
3200 block of Lenox Road – An apartment was broken into during the day Feb. 23.
700 block of Lindbergh Drive – Someone threw a rock through an apartment window at the 771 Lindbergh Apartments at 10:15 a.m. Feb. 25, but the resident was home. The culprit fled.
600 block of Garson Drive – A woman saw two men break into an apartment at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22, but nothing was taken.
Unit block of Peachtree Avenue – A man was seen breaking into an apartment Feb. 21 around 10:30 a.m.
300 block of Peachtree Hills Circle – An apartment was broken into between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Feb. 22, and a flat-screen television and a laptop computer were stolen.
4800 block of Peachtree Park Drive – Musical equipment was stolen from an apartment between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 3:30 a.m. Feb. 27.
100 block of Springlake Place – A 50-inch television and a laptop computer were stolen from a home midday Feb. 22.
Unit block of Springlake Place – A man kicked in the door to a home at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 23, then fled when he found a woman inside.
1600 block of Carr Circle – A 50-inch television, a 42-inch television and three video game systems were stolen from a home Feb. 26.
1400 block of Carroll Drive – Someone broke the front glass door to a business and stole several items early Feb. 26.
1100 block of Huff Road – A home at the Apex Apartments was broken into overnight Feb. 24, and two 42-inch flat-screen televisions, two Blu-ray players and a laptop computer were stolen.
400 block of Deering Road – A woman checked on her sister’s house early Feb. 24 and found the front door broken, but nothing appeared to be missing.
1300 block of Northside Drive – Seven Public Storage units were broken into overnight Feb. 26.
Robbery
4400 block of Roswell Road – A woman said she was leaving the Three Dollar Cafe at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 when a man punched her in the face and stole her purse.
Unit block of Biscayne Drive – A man said at least two robbers approached him around 11 p.m. Feb. 20, hit him in the head with a handgun, beat him, and took $200 and a debit card from him. When the victim tried to get up, one of the attackers knocked him out with a handgun.
2000 block of Hills Place – A man said he took $900 out of an ATM at 1 a.m. Feb. 26, and a dark Ford Crown Victoria followed him when he left. The Ford pulled in front of him, and the driver pointed a gun at him and demanded the cash from the ATM. The gunman shot at him, but the bullet passed through the victim’s jacket without hitting him.
