Aggravated assault

300 block of Pharr Road – A man was arrested after his girlfriend said he threatened her with a butcher knife during an argument in an apartment May 19 around 9 p.m.

2200 block of Fairhaven Circle – A man said his sister threw a glass at him May 15, injuring his eye and nose.

Auto theft

1400 block of West Paces Ferry Road – A 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen from a parking garage May 21.

2500 block of Piedmont Road – The lock and steering column on a white 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe were damaged overnight May 18 in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle. Instead, the thief  took the in-dash stereo.

2800 block of Fulton Drive – A green 1997 GMC Sierra belonging to the Atlanta International School was stolen overnight May 18.

Unit block of Habersham Road – A dirt bike was stolen overnight May 16.

500 block of Main Street – A purple 1998 Dodge Caravan was stolen at Uptown Square between 3:30 and 4 p.m. May 20. The vehicle was found on Burbank Drive.

2000 block of Defoors Ferry Road – A silver 2006 Dodge Stratus was stolen from the parking lot of DePalma’s Italian Cafe the night of May 17.

1700 block of Taylor Street – A white 2005 Dodge Caravan belonging to Tyler’s Display Supply was stolen overnight May 18.

100 block of Alden Avenue – A green 2001 Jeep Cherokee was stolen at the Avista Condos overnight May 16.

2000 block of Peachtree Road – A burgundy 1996 Honda Accord was stolen at the Darlington Apartments overnight May 18.

Larceny from auto

1000 block of Paces Ferry Road – A GPS unit, a CD player and tools were stolen from a gray 1996 Ford on May 22.

3400 block of Tuxedo Road – Three people were arrested after being caught driving away from the scene of a vehicle break-in May 22 at 3:30 a.m.

3400 block of Alexander Road – A window was broken out of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse overnight May 19 at Post Alexander, and a garage-access remote control was stolen.

Lenox and Piedmont roads – Clothing, a GPS unit and other items were stolen from a vehicle the night of May 22.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A laptop computer was stolen from a black 2004 Lincoln Navigator outside On the Border midday May 19.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A purse was stolen from a black 2005 Chrysler 300 the afternoon of May 19.

Buckhead Loop Road – Items were stolen from the center console of a 2003 Jeep Liberty on May 19.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A 2008 Ford F-250 and a 2003 BMW 330 were broken into in a lot late May 19. A set of keys and a laptop computer were stolen.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – A window was broken out of a vehicle between May 1 and 18, and a laptop computer was stolen.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – Music CDs, a bag of clothing and other items were stolen from a vehicle between 8 and 11 p.m. May 20.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – A radio, three backpacks, a camera, a laptop computer and clothes were stolen from a black 2001 GMC Yukon at Tower Place the night of May 22.

3400 block of Stratford Road – A 2007 Ford was broken into overnight May 19.

Unit block of Brittany Way – Someone illegally entered a 2000 Nissan and took $5 overnight May 20.

700 block of Cosmopolitan Drive – A .45-caliber pistol and a laptop computer were stolen from a 1996 Jaguar X6 between May 18 and 20. The culprit broke out two windows.

3400 block of Kingsboro Road – The soft convertible top on a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette was cut, and the car stereo was stolen overnight May 20.

3300 block of Lenox Road – A laptop computer was stolen from a 2005 Chevrolet C-1500 at the JW Marriott overnight May 21.

2400 block of Parkland Drive – A black 2000 Toyota Camry and a blue 2006 Mini Cooper were broken into at the Soleil Apartments overnight May 19. The items stolen included a wallet and a backpack.

3600 block of Peachtree Road – A green leather bag was stolen from a vehicle at Borders between 7 and 10 p.m. May 21.

3000 block of Peachtree Road – Items including electronics, professional styling equipment and cash were stolen from a vehicle while it was in the possession of the valet at Nava restaurant the night of May 22.

400 block of Lindbergh Drive – Items were stolen from a black 2006 Mercedes on May 15 or 16.

2800 block of Peachtree Road – A GPS unit and MP3 player were stolen from a silver 2009 Chevrolet Traverse after a window was broken out overnight May 16.

2200 block of Peachtree Road – A drum set, an in-dash stereo and an amplifier were among items stolen early May 21 when a red Dodge Caravan, a red Subaru and a blue Ford Expedition were broken into at the Aramore Condominiums.

3100 block of Piedmont Road – An MP3 player and a laptop computer were stolen from a silver 2007 GMC between 6 and 8:15 p.m. May 17.

3000 block of Piedmont Road – A 2008 Ford F-150 was broken into May 19 between 8 and 10 p.m., and items were stolen.

1100 block of Moores Mill Road – A laptop computer was stolen from a green 2004 Ford Expedition at the YMCA between 5 and 6 p.m. May 20.

600 block of Wesley Drive – A gray 2007 Mazda MX3 was parked at a residence for just a few minutes around 3 p.m. May 18, but that was long enough for someone to smash out a window and steal a purse.

400 block of Rhomboid Street – Someone smashed out a white 2002 Jeep Liberty’s window at 4:45 a.m. May 19. The owner heard the smashing and rushed outside. He did not notice anything missing.

2000 block of Bolton Drive – Someone swiped a purse from a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer while the owner went inside Chevron to pay for gas May 21 at 3 p.m.

100 block of 26th Street – A laptop computer, $400 in cash and a 32-inch television were stolen from a white 2010 Pontiac G6 overnight May 17.

200 block of 26th Street – A radio was stolen from a 2000 Pontiac overnight May 20.

100 block of 26th Street – A work bag and a charger for an MP3 player were stolen from a 2006 Dodge Magnum overnight May 20.

Unit block of 28th Street – A window was broken out of a 1991 Mitsubishi Montero the night of May 20, and a laptop computer was stolen.

400 block of Armour Drive – Two purses, a stereo system and $2,800 in cash were stolen from a black 2008 Dodge Charger overnight May 19.

2000 block of Peachtree Road – The catalytic converter was stolen off a 2000 Toyota 4Runner between 1 and 6:30 p.m. May 20.

1800 block of Peachtree Road – A couple reported that a GPS unit and $2,500 in cash were stolen from their green 2004 Ford Expedition midday May 22 outside Ted’s Montana Grill.

1800 block of Peachtree Street – Items were stolen from a red Ford Expedition left in a lot for three hours the afternoon of May 19.

Burglary

1200 block of West Paces Ferry Road – A flat-screen television and roughly 30 cameras were stolen from Wolf Camera around 3:45 a.m. May 17.

3600 block of North Stratford Road – The basement door of a home was pried open May 15 or 16, and diamond earrings, a laptop computer and a hard drive were stolen.

900 block of Canterbury Road – Three laptop computers, a 42-inch LCD television, a 26-inch computer monitor, a DVD recorder and an MP3 player were stolen from an apartment while the residents were sleeping early May 22.

3200 block of Lenox Road – The front door to a home was kicked in during the day May 18, and a laptop computer and jewelry were stolen.

3200 block of Lenox Road – A television, a laptop computer and remote control for the front gate were stolen from a home May 18.

900 block of Sidney Marcus Boulevard – A laptop computer, jewelry and an MP3 player were stolen from a home during the day May 17.

600 block of Garson Drive – The front door of a Tuscany at Lindbergh unit was kicked in May 19, but the resident did not notice anything missing.

300 block of Peachtree Hills Avenue – Two video game systems, two flat-screen televisions and a hand-held radio were stolen from a house between May 13 and 16.

200 block of Colonial Homes Circle – A man arrived home just before 10 p.m. May 21 to find an unknown man in his apartment. The intruder fled. The resident said a pair of shoes was missing.

200 block of North Colonial Homes Circle – A man awoke at 7 a.m. May 16 to find an unknown man at the foot of his bed with his wallet. The intruder fled with the wallet. A roommate had left the front door unlocked.

1100 block of Collier Road – Jewelry and $100 were stolen from an apartment early May 16 while the resident slept.

2400 block of Coronet Way – A computer monitor was stolen from the management office of the Moores Mill Village Apartments overnight May 18.

1300 block of Hanover West Drive – Tools were stolen from a shed May 20 or 21. The shed was locked, but a spare key was kept on top of the door frame.

1600 block of Northside Drive – A side window was smashed at Northside Auto Salon overnight May 16, and three car alarms, a computer, three speaker systems and a flat-screen television were stolen.

2100 block of Hollywood Road – The Family Corner Store’s burglar bars were torn off early May 16, and money, lottery tickets and cigarettes were stolen. Police believe that a vehicle was used to tear off the burglar bars.

1700 block of Marietta Boulevard – A window was broken out of a vacant building under renovation overnight May 18, and copper wiring and pipes were stolen.

2200 block of Marietta Road – A flat-screen television, furniture, jewelry and clothing were stolen from an apartment between May 7 and 22. There were no signs of forced entry.

300 block of Deering Road – A woman said her sister’s ex-boyfriend used a key under the doormat to enter her Townview Station apartment May 22 and steal $260.

Other larceny

3500 block of Peachtree Road – A woman was arrested for stealing a pocket mirror from Belk at 6 p.m. May 16.

3400 block of Peachtree Road – A woman took an Apple iPhone left on a couch at Saks Fifth Avenue at 5 p.m. May 19.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A woman said her laptop computer was taken from her hotel room May 16.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A woman reported May 21 that she gave a man two pieces of jewelry to sell on consignment April 16 but later asked for the jewelry back. The man said he had pawned the items.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A shoplifter took an article of clothing worth $40 from Old Navy just before 4 p.m. May 21.

3500 block of Peachtree Road – A 16-year-old girl was arrested for trying to steal $18 worth of merchandise from Belk around 9 p.m. May 22.

3700 block of Roswell Road – A man is accused of taking textbooks and DVDs belonging to his two roommates when he moved out of an apartment May 19.

700 block of Lindbergh Drive – A .380-caliber handgun was stolen from an apartment at 771 Lindbergh on May 21.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – Two juveniles were detained after hiding merchandise in their pocketbooks and trying to leave Bloomingdale’s at 4:30 p.m. May 16.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – A man wired $4,300 to a couple staying at the Westin Hotel so he could purchase a 2004 BMW 530i in early May, but he never got the car, which he never saw before sending the money.

3300 block of Peachtree Road – Two men broke a display case at Macy’s at 6 p.m. May 20 and fled with $4,050 worth of jewelry.

3600 block of Peachtree Road – A man did $755 worth of damage at Borders around 4 p.m. May 22 but was kicked out of the store before employees discovered the damage.

3100 block of Peachtree Road – A woman left her purse in the kitchen at Peachtree United Methodist Church on May 8, and someone took the purse, which contained a cell phone and a Wachovia debit card. Fraudulent transactions showed up on her Wachovia account.

3300 block of Piedmont Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Kroger around 3:30 p.m. May 18.

300 block of Brentwood Terrace – A man took a leaf blower around 3 p.m. May 17 but was caught by the owner and turned over to police.

600 block of Garson Drive – Two bicycles were stolen from a rack at the Tuscany at Lindbergh between May 12 and 19.

1100 block of Collier Road – An officer stopped to defuse a couple’s argument on Howell Mill Road on May 18, and the man in the argument produced a credit card that didn’t belong to him. The owner had just used the card at Ralph’s Cleaners on Collier Road. The man admitted trying to use the card illegally and was arrested.

700 block of Longwood Drive – A woman discovered jewelry missing from her home May 17. She last saw the jewelry April 2.

1100 block of Collier Road – A tattoo gun was taken from an apartment closet May 20.

1700 block of Howell Mill Road – After trying to pay for groceries with a credit card that was declined around noon May 18, a woman left Kroger with the groceries without paying and drove away in a blue 2000 BMW 323.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Walmart at 7:30 p.m. May 18.

1800 block of Howell Mill Road – A shoplifter was arrested at Walmart at 8:40 p.m. May 20.

1200 block of Prouve Court – A TV stand, a bookshelf, a mattress, a television, a sofa and a dining room table were stolen from an apartment between May 13 and 17.

2000 block of Peachtree Road – A purse was taken from a hospital room at the Shepherd Center while the purse’s owner walked her patient son down the hall May 15.

2000 block of Peachtree Road – A woman left her wallet in a waiting room around 1:30 p.m. May 17. When she recovered the wallet, $1,003 in cash was gone.

2200 block of Peachtree Road – A woman’s wallet was stolen from her purse while she dined at Panera Bread around 1 p.m. May 19. The stolen credit cards were used throughout Atlanta.

1700 block of Peachtree Street – A man lent his cell phone to one of two women by his car just before midnight May 20. The other woman then told him to get out of the car. Instead, he sped away and called the police. Officers found the women, who had not only his cell phone, but also crack cocaine and a pair of scissors.

Robbery

4400 block of Roswell Road – A man tried to rob Wachovia Bank at 10:30 a.m. May 18 by giving a teller a note saying he had a gun. The robber was given money with a dye pack and fled; the dye pack was found in the bank parking lot.

3200 block of Lenox Road – Two men grabbed a man entering the stairwell of an apartment building just before 2 a.m. May 18. One of the robbers held a gun to the victim’s head while the other took his wallet and cell phone. The victim was taken to Piedmont Hospital for his injuries.

3100 block of Peachtree Road – A brief chase just before 6 p.m. May 18 resulted in the arrest of a man who grabbed money from the cash register at Wendy’s after ordering food.

4700 block of Howell Mill Road – Gunmen robbed Arby’s of $110 around 9:30 a.m. May 22. A police officer spotted the robbery in progress, and he chased and caught one of the culprits.
