Fee a bad idea

To the editor:

Just read your item about the new $5 parking fee at the Lindbergh MARTA station. You didn’t mention if there is a way for legitimate MARTA customers to still park free. If there isn’t, this is a really bad decision and we need to hear more about it. Your report makes it sound like a good idea, which it doesn’t seem to be.

Occasionally, I park at the Lindbergh Station to take MARTA to a ballgame. It is the only station with parking anywhere near my house and bus service in my neighborhood is infrequent, especially at night. MARTA seems to be making a concerted effort to make its service difficult to use.
