Computer replacement equipment has been provided to the Buckhead Branch Library through contributions coordinated by the Buckhead Coalition and Cooper Carry, Inc.
Discovering that its outdated units were “dying one by one,” according to Buckhead Branch manager Nancy Powers, the Coalition issued a plea to its membership for help.
Kevin Cantley, president and chief executive officer of Cooper Carry, had recently relocated the firm’s offices and had surplus machines available. Eight 19-inch Samsung monitors and eight new Keytronic computer key boards were put in place, installed by the Cooper Carry staff.
The contribution was “like receiving a wonderful unexpected holiday gift” according to Powers. The coalition is also the possibility of providing a similar service to the other branch library on Northside Parkway.
