Fulton County election officials are considering changing a poll location in Sandy Springs due to complaints from some residents who voted in the July 20 Primary election.

Residents who vote at Gallery 63, 4577 Roswell Road, may be transferred to the Church of the Atonement, 4945 High Point Road, said Tianna Evola, administrative assistant for the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections.

On July 20, voters complained that Gallery 63 was not accessible for disabled people because several large animal statues had been place in the one handicap parking space on the site.

“Nothing has been approved yet,” Evola said.

She said the elections board would have to vote to approve the poll location change. The board meets the second Tuesday of the month, she said, so the poll location change may not be effective for the August 10 Primary Runoff.

Evola said the board may call an emergency meeting to approve the change before August 10.
