Confederacy of Dunces From Aug. 11 to Sept. 5, Theatrical Outfit will present Tom Key’s world premiere stage adaptation of “A Confederacy of Dunces” by John Kennedy Toole. The novel became a publishing phenomenon in 1980 and was the winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. The novel chronicles the colorful world of one Ignatius J. Reilly, one of literature’s most resonating anti-heroes.

Theatrical Outfit’s production of “A Confederacy of Dunces” will be directed by Richard Garner, co-founder and producing artistic director of the acclaimed theater Georgia Shakespeare Festival.
