To the editor,
I want to thank you for your recent article, “England swings… ,“ in the Sandy Springs reporter. You made many valid points about barrier-free access and the lack of. I have been a power chair user since 1993. My travel is limited to the United States. I still have to check closely to confirm accessibility even when I go places in the USA and close to home in the Sandy Springs community.
We in the United States have seen much progress in the past 20 years but still have some gaps in barrier-free access. Your experience certainly raised your awareness, and I hope your readership connected to that.
