Laura Turner Seydel, chairwoman of the Captain Planet Foundation, is honorary chair for the 2010 Chastain Park Conservancy’s fall fundraiser “On a Green Night,” which will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Chastain Park Amphitheater.
The event this year celebrates the “green movement” and the conservancy’s commitment to being “green” and will include several exhibits along with gourmet food tastings from areas restaurants, a beer tasting, open bar and music for listening and dancing on the amphitheater stage.
Some of the restaurants participating in this year’s event are 5 Seasons Brewery, C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar, Chops Lobster Bar, Chopstix, Food 101 and Horseradish Grill.
Those attending will have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items. There also will be raffles for a Smart Car and hybrid SUV.
All proceeds go toward the conservancy’s efforts to “restore, enhance, maintain and preserve” Chastain Park.
Individual tickets for the fundraising event are $100. Friends & Family Sponsor tickets are $400 and include two tickets and a name listing in the program.
