No World Cup tickets? No problem. There are plenty of fan events taking place throughout metro Atlanta this summer. These events highlight what makes Atlanta and soccer so special, welcoming people to join in on all the World Cup excitement.

Celebrate the World Cup without stepping foot inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium by attending one of the following watch parties, fan festivals, or soccer events around ATL.

Fan festivals

FIFA Fan Fest
Downtown Atlanta

Centennial Olympic Park will host FIFA Fan Fest June 11-15, June 17-21, and June 24, 26, and 27, as well as July 1, 7, 11, 14, and 15. Register for free general admission passes, plus passes ($45-65), and VIP packages ($225-325). Each day of the festival will include a main stage for watching World Cup matches and feature a small community soccer pitch, playground, and the Georgia Street marketplace. And expect live music performances from artists like Ceelo Green, Nappy Roots, Hero the Band, and Florista.

Decatur WatchFest and WatchSpot
Decatur Square

This festival located in Decatur Square emphasizes live music, with 21 different acts performing between June 11 and July 19. While tickets to the concert series opener (Big Boi) and closer (Indigo Girls) are no longer available, you can still obtain free tickets for Grammy-winning duo The War and Treaty’s performance on June 25. In addition to these larger acts, Decatur WatchFest will also include 18 free concerts featuring local musicians, along with outdoor screenings of World Cup matches. Streets Alive
Downtown Atlanta

Streets Alive returns on June 14, from 2-6 p.m., with a FIFA World Cup-inspired route. As part of the World Cup festivities, the route along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, between Burbank Drive and Northside Drive, connects Mercedes-Benz Stadium to the Atlanta Beltline’s Westside Trail. Expect live music, giveaways, food, drinks, and one big World Cup street party where people can walk, bike, and roller skate down MLK Jr. Drive.

ATL Beltline Fest
Pittsburgh Yards

Revel in World Cup excitement right on the Southwest Beltline at this free, two-day festival at Pittsburgh Yards. On June 20, soccer fans can catch the Netherlands vs. Sweden match and enjoy an extensive vendor marketplace, live performances, DJ sets, food trucks, soccer clinics, field games, cooking demos, and kid-friendly activities, starting at 10 a.m. On June 21, expect the same lineup, but with screenings of the Spain vs. Saudi Arabia and Belgium vs. Iran. “A Celebration of Soccer & Sound” at Piedmont Park
Midtown

Showcase Atlanta and ONE Musicfest will throw a collaborative festival event on July 19, starting at 11 a.m., in conjunction with the World Cup final. In addition to a live screening of the final World Cup match, the festival will feature live performances, a market with local food and merchandise vendors, interactive fan zones, and a family-friendly kids zone. The event is free to attend, but RSVPs are required

Midtown

Colony Square in Midtown will host Fútbol Fest On The Square on June 14, from 2 to 6 p.m. The World Cup kickoff party will include live music, themed beverages, family-friendly activities, and a screening of the Netherlands vs. Japan match at 4 p.m. The food hall will also screen matches throughout the tournament.

Underground Atlanta
Downtown

The downtown restaurant, music, and entertainment district will feature several events during the World Cup, including watch parties and the 5 Points Cup, a 3v3 Street Futsal Tournament taking place on the new Upper Alabama futsal pitch. Follow on Instagram for details.

Both the South Downtown district and Centennial Yards development include a fresh batch of new restaurants and bars, just in time for the World Cup. Fútbol Fever
Sandy Springs

CityBar. & Cafe, Casamigos Tequila, and Visit Sandy Springs will host Fútbol Fever, a series of World Cup watch parties, in June and July. Guests can expect live match broadcasts, a Casamigos margarita, giveaways, and special activations throughout the tournament. Plus, there’s halftime entertainment such as trivia, fan competitions, and jersey contests. On June 12 and 19 and July 11, 18, and 19, the trio will also host the Visit Sandy Springs Clubhouse, an open-air fan activation event featuring exclusive merchandise, locker room-inspired decor, and interactive experiences. Ashford Lane
Dunwoody

Ashford Lane in Dunwoody is offering a series of World Cup events on the lawn throughout June and July. Watch the USA vs. Australia match on June 19 and the World Cup final on July 19. These events are free to attend and will include food and drink specials, soccer experiences, and family-friendly activities. 

Funwoody in Dunwoody watch parties
Dunwoody Village

Michelob Ultra and Funwoody restaurants will host a series of World Cup watch parties during the first round to include USA vs. Paraguay on June 12, England vs. Croatia on June 17, USA vs. Australia on June 19, England vs. Ghana on June 23, and USA vs. Turkey on June 26. Funwoody will show the matches on The Lawn’s big screen. These soccer events will also feature a raffle for two tickets to a local match and two tickets to a semifinal World Cup match in Atlanta. 

FIFA Soccer City World Cup Experience
Tucker

Londzell Performing Arts Theatre in Tucker will host the FIFA Soccer City World Cup Experience, a free watch party experience on June 24, starting at 4:30 p.m. Fans can expect a live match viewing, drinks, entertainment, and a free fan zone for kids aged 4 to 19. Kid-friendly fan zone experiences include a soccer skills challenge, trivia quiz, DIY fan gear, an interactive soccer wall, a soccer tactics workshop, and virtual reality and augmented reality experience. Food and interactive activities will be available for purchase.

“Live! From the Pitch”
Chamblee

The City of Chamblee is hosting Live! From the Pitch, a free, public viewing party with live broadcasts, food and beverage vendors, family-friendly activities, music, and nonprofit resources at the Plaza Fiesta shopping center on select days in June and July. Plaza Fiesta will also host the Fiesta Futbolera on June 21. Check out the events schedule on the City of Chamblee’s website.

Village Green Park “Cup Daze”
Smyrna

Village Green Park in Smyrna will host Cup Daze, free, public match viewing events, from June 11 to July 19. People are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit on, along with a picnic. The Battery Atlanta
Cumberland

The Green at Battery Atlanta, home to Truist Park, will screen select group stage matches for free throughout June and July. Check out the viewing schedule here.

Alpharetta’s World Cup Watch Party
Alpharetta

The City of Alpharetta, the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Central City Tavern will host a series of watch parties in June and July. Fans can expect beverage stations, children’s activities, and giveaways. The Town Green in downtown Alpharetta will host a kickoff party, including two match screenings on June 12. Ike’s Cafe & Grill is teaming up with Ghana GI8 Innov8 to host watch parties for several of Ghana’s World Cup matches. Fans can catch Ghana vs. Panama at 7 p.m. on June 17 and England vs. Ghana at 4 p.m. on June 23. Stay tuned to Instagram for details on the final watch party.

Buford Highway Restaurant Month

The month of June along a 10-mile stretch of Buford Highway will feature restaurant specials and events with a soccer spin. Look for food and drink specials, World Cup watch parties at restaurants all up and down the corridor, and a big Buford Highway scavenger hunt, complete with prizes. Mutation Brewing and Distilling Company in Sandy Springs will screen every single World Cup match on a projection screen and on all of the brewery’s TVs. In addition to craft beer and cocktails, expect a full food menu, ample indoor and outdoor seating, and free parking.

Brews and Hops Taproom
Chamblee

Brews & Hops Taproom will show World Cup matches live on big screens during the tournament. Guests can enjoy self-pour beer and wine, Indian fusion food and more than 40 taps while watching the action. Follow on social media for additional match schedules.

Chamblee

Block & Drum is pairing watch parties with live music and dance events this World Cup season. A Mexico vs. South Africa watch party on June 11 will feature Callejera404’s “Mundial con Cumbia,” while Mexico vs. South Korea on June 18 will include a DJ set from Florista, along with food trucks, drinks and dancing. SweetWater Brewing Company is hosting official World Cup watch parties throughout the summer, including a special event for Team USA’s opening match on June 12. Patria Mezcaleria and Patria Cocina will show every World Cup match while offering drink specials, wing specials and a tournament-themed menu. Both restaurants kick things off with a Mexico vs. South Africa watch party at 3 p.m. on June 11.

Daily Chew
Piedmont Heights

Daily Chew, a neighborhood café inspired by South African culture, is hosting community block parties centered around South Africa’s World Cup matches. The celebrations will coincide with South Africa’s matches against Mexico on June 11 and Czechia on June 18, featuring outdoor braais, peri-peri wings, South African wines, DJs and projector screenings. Monday Night Brewing’s taprooms will show every FIFA World Cup match throughout June and July. The brewery is also celebrating with its “Summer of Soccer” beer collaboration series, bringing a new beer to try at both locations.
