Art Partners, the fundraising arm of the High Museum, will host its 15th annual High Arts Day on Monday, Nov. 15, from 8 -3:30 p.m., featuring events in Midtown and Buckhead. The day will begin with morning refreshments and private shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue. Guests will then board buses to tour two spectacular Atlanta homes, before returning to the High’s Margaretta Taylor Lobby for a seated luncheon, where a Dali impersonator will greet and entertain them, as well as signature Dali mustaches to ‘enhance’ the group photo.
A trunk show of unique vendors and a silent auction of original art and travel opportunities will take place before and after lunch, including an original mixed media canvas piece entitled “High above the High,” created by artist and part-time Atlanta resident Dennis Campay. The opening bid is set for $5,500 and all proceeds from the day benefit the museum. Both “Dalí: The Late Work” and “Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting” exhibits will be open exclusively for High Arts Day guests. Buses will return them to Saks Fifth Avenue, leaving at half-hour intervals from 2–3:30 p.m.
Tickets are $150 ($80 tax deductible) and seats are limited. Call (404) 733-4429 to reserve a space. Visit www.high.org/highartsday for more information.
