The A-Town Day outdoor community health festival and concert will celebrate its 5th anniversary at Lakewood Fairgrounds, 1936 Pryor Road, on Saturday, March 26, starting at noon.
Families can enjoy fun-filled activities, food and music while receiving free health screenings and information. With over 4,000 in attendance last year, the goal is to raise funds with the proceeds going towards The Diabetes Association of Atlanta and the B-AWARE Foundation. Children 6 and under are free and general admission is only $5.
Organizations taking part include: The Peach State Heath Plan, The Red Cross, The Diabetes Association of Atlanta, H&R Block, V-103, Creative Loafing, Rolling Out, The Atlanta Fire Department, McDonald’s, The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, The West End Print Shop, Adnormous Graphics, All Pro Printing and many more. Entertainment will include performances from artists from every type of music genre – Hip Hop, R&B, Spoken Word, Rock, & Gospel that will share health care and environmental statistics before each performance.
