The Dunwoody Nature Center has a new executive director.
Susan Mitchell, vice chair of the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals, will replace Claire Waggenspack Hayes, who retired from the position.
Mitchell, named to the position on March 23, will head the nature center’s daily operations and oversee implementation of its long-term strategic plan.
“Susan is a proven leader whose intelligence, hard work and creativity will be an asset to our organization. We are excited to have her join the Center,” said Anne Hicks, president of the Center’s board of directors.
