The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.

Burglary

2000 block of Mount Paran Road, NW – A residential burglary occurred at this location on April 4. The victim said that her back door window was smashed and several items had been taken from the home, including a silver Sig Sauer .308 hand gun, a Cartier watch, Canon digital camera and two MacBook laptop computers.

300 block of Peachtree Hills Avenue, NE – On April 4, a residential burglary was reported at an apartment complex at this location. The victim returned to his apartment and discovered his back door lock was damaged. His Apple laptop, X-box, 20 X-box games, Mbox 2 Pro Studio equipment, Nintendo, Canon camera and Sony Blue Ray player were stolen.

1200 block of Moores Mill Road, NW – A residential burglary occurred at this location on April 6. The victim’s pet door was kicked in and the home was entered. Jewelry was taken.

200 block of Pharr Road, NE – A residential burglary occurred at an apartment complex at this location on April 8. The apartment door was pried open, and everything inside looked like it had been gone through. The victim said he was on the third floor of the parking deck when he saw three men carrying a Target bag and a blue bag. He said he had been shopping at those stores earlier. When he returned to the apartment the door was open. He went back down to the third floor and saw a silver Pontiac GS pulling off. The suspects were caught on camera by the elevators.

Robbery

3200 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A commercial robbery was reported at this location on April 5. A man about 25 years old entered a pharmacy. The man informed the cashier he had a hand gun, but wasn’t going to hurt her if she gave him all the money in her drawer.

2300 block of Parkland Drive, NE – A robbery was reported in a parking garage at this location on the morning of April 7. The victim described and identified the armed suspect. The victim said he saw the suspect in the parking deck going from car to car and looking inside. The suspect approached the victim’s vehicle, noticed the victim inside, and lifted up his shirt, showing a black hand gun. The victim forced open the driver side door, knocking the suspect off-balance. He then had a physical altercation with the victim. The victim was able to disarm the suspect. The victim’s wallet was returned. The suspect was arrested.

Assault

50 block of East Andrews Drive, NE – Aggravated assault at a nightclub at this location was reported on the evening of April 3. The suspect engaged in a argument with the victim. The victim’s boyfriend intervened. The suspect then hit the victim’s boyfriend in the face. The suspect went to hit the victim’s boyfriend again, but he missed and hit the victim in the shoulder. The punch knocked the victim to the ground and separated her shoulder. The suspect was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

3100 block of Piedmont Road, NE – Aggravated assault at a nightclub at this location was reported on the morning of April 3. The victim said he was dancing and four security guards came up and pushed him out of the club. The victim said he fell on the ground and injured his face. The victim was treated at a hospital with stitches for his lacerations.

Larceny

1800 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A larceny at a discount store was reported at this location on April 3. The suspect was seen by the Loss Prevention Manager via the security camera as he selected items from different parts of the store. The suspect then took the items to the Refund Department and received a cash refund for the merchandise. He then exited the store and was apprehended by an officer.

3500 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny at a night club was reported on April 5 at this location. The victim said his father’s friend stole $4500 from him under the guise of helping him purchase a car. The victim said he and the suspect flew from Michigan and spent the day in expectation of meeting the car seller at the listed business. The victim gave the suspect $4,500 in cash to give to the seller in exchange for the car. The suspect took the cash and the victim did not see nor hear from him after repeatedly trying to contact him on his cell phone.

400 block of Trabert Avenue, NW – A business reported a larceny at this location on April 7. The reporting person said that an unknown male took a Final Cut Pro video editing system valued at $20,000. The suspect was last seen entering a black pickup truck and leaving the scene.

1700 block of West Wesley Road, NW – A larceny at a residence occurred and was reported at this location on April 8. The victim said that two men in a red pickup truck stole his lawn equipment from a client’s house while he was working in another part of the yard.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A department store at this location reported a larceny on April 9. The reporting person witnessed two women on surveillance video as they went into the women’s fitting room area with a dress. They then stuffed it into a purse. The women left the showroom floor and proceeded to go to the jewelry section where they took 12 pieces of jewelry (1 pair of earrings, 5 necklaces, 5 bracelets and 1 head band) and stuffed them into another purse. The two women then walked past all points of sale without paying for the items. Both were stopped and the items totaling $350.87 were recovered.

400 block of Armour Drive, NE – A larceny at an apartment complex at this location was reported on the evening of April 9. A cab driver gave a ride to a woman and a man. The pair attempted to pay with a credit card, but it was declined. The pair stated that they would go inside of their residence and get the cash to pay the fare, but never returned to the cab.

Larceny from Vehicle

100 block of Laurel Forest Circle, NE – A larceny from an auto at a residence was reported at this location during the evening of April 2. The victim said after coming home from a supermarket she left her car unlocked, leaving her purse inside, and went inside her house to put away the groceries. When she returned to her vehicle, her purse was missing. It contained her cell phone, U.S. passport, debit and credit cards, and checking and savings books.

700 block of Morosgo Drive, NE – A larceny from an auto at a post office was reported at this location on April 4. The victim said she went inside to drop off a letter, and two minutes later, when she returned, she found her front passenger window broken. Someone took a black Gucci bag containing a North Carolina driver’s license, $100, Gucci glasses and box, insurance card, two bank cards, Versace prescription glasses, a green wallet and a work ID.

100 block of Pharr Road, NE – A business reported a larceny from one of its vehicles at this location on April 4. The victim said that a few items had been stolen from his company’s truck. The truck was parked at the location while they were working, and during that time they saw two men drive away in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. They later discovered that a lawn mower, hedge trimmer and leaf blower were stolen from their vehicle.

4300 block of Roswell Road, NE – A larceny from an auto in an apartment complex parking lot was reported at this location during the evening of April 6. The victim said her vehicle was left unlocked when she went into her apartment, and when she returned she saw her red ladies purse had been taken from inside the vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry.

700 block of Collier Road, NW – A larceny from an auto in a parking lot was reported at this location on April 7. The victim said that his delivery truck was in the parking lot of the business. When he left, he saw a man jumping out the rear of the delivery truck with a carton of cigarettes and run to a vehicle that was parked in the lot.

Auto Theft

3400 block of Lenox Road, NE – An auto theft was reported from a hotel at this location on April 2. The victim said his 2007 white Cadillac Escalade had been stolen along with his 40-caliber, semi-automatic pistol. The victim said he gave his vehicle to the valet and when he returned hours later, he was informed that the vehicle was gone. The manager on duty said they had reported a broken gate at the exit to the hotel’s parking lot earlier in the day.

3000 block of Peachtree Road, NW – A motorcycle theft from a parking garage at this location was reported on April 4. The victim said when he returned to where he last parked his motorcycle, it was missing. The only thing he noticed was that pieces of the lock that were on his motorcycle were on the ground.

800 block of Wesley Drive, NW – An auto theft was reported from a residence at this location on April 7. The victim said she left her vehicle partially inside her garage with the keys in the ignition. When she returned, her vehicle was gone.
