Sandy Springs police officers will serve food for tips June 18 to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Officers will serve meals for the “Tip a Cop” fundraiser from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at J. Christopher’s in City Walk, 227 Sandy Springs Place.. Normal charges for the meal apply. “We are doing a second event for Special Olympics because we are committed to this wonderful charity,” Chief Terry Sult said in a release issued by the city of Sandy Springs. “Through this event, we hope to raise more funds for these incredible athletes.”
The Special Olympics provide sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
