Dunwoody Police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery.
Phillip Redmond III, 21, of Douglasville, is accused of committing an armed robbery at Walton Apartments, 1000 Ashwood Parkway, at 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 13.
While officers were in route to the scene, a vehicle matching the description provided by the victim of the robbery was seen traveling south on Ashford Dunwoody Road.
Dunwoody officers tried to stop the 1997 tan Cadillac Deville, but the car sped onto I-285. Officers chased the vehicle to the Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway exit.
Officers continued to pursue the vehicle through the city of Atlanta and it eventually turned into an apartment complex located at 4505 Fairburn Road and struck a telephone pole. Both the driver and the passenger fled the vehicle on foot and disappeared into the wood line.
