If you regularly travel or live on Ralph McGill Boulevard, better find a detour or leave extra time for potential traffic back ups starting tomorrow, Feb. 29.  Ralph McGill will be closed between Freedom Parkway and Ashley Avenue for 30 days as work begins on building a new bridge over the roadway for the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail.

More closures will be coming in March and April as work begins on repairing the historic bridge (pictured) over Ponce de Leon Avenue next to Ponce City Market (former City Hall East). Ponce de Leon Avenue will be closed from March 23 through 26 and again from March 30 through April 1. The closures will start at 9 p.m. on Friday evening and will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday morning.
