The 10th annual Volunteer for a Better Sandy Springs Day is scheduled for April 21. The event begins at 7:45 a.m., when volunteers are to gather at Heritage Sandy Springs.
Organizers of the event, sponsored by Leadership Sandy Springs, said in a press release that they are seeking volunteers able to provide carpentry, landscaping, painting and clean up.
Work sites this year include, the press release said, the Big Trees Forest Preserve, Community Action Center, Heritage Sandy Springs, Hammond Park/Overlook Park/Allen Road Park, Sandy Springs Library, Sandy Springs Tennis Center, Keep North Fulton/Sandy Springs Beautiful, The Link, Trees Sandy Springs, Sandy Springs Conservancy At Overlook Park, Ison Springs Elementary School, North Springs Charter High School, Spalding Drive Charter Elementary, Woodland Charter Elementary, Ridgeview Middle School and Sandy Springs Middle School.
