Based on the adopted Master Plan and to aide and assist the Invitations for Proposals process, the City commissioned artist renderings of key City elements of the proposed redevelopment. City of Dunwoody website.

The city of Dunwoody announced May 3 that it will partner with John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods  to revamp the Georgetown community through an initiative known as Project Renaissance.

In March, Dunwoody issued an invitation for proposals from developers for the public-private development planned on 35 acres on North Shallowford Road.

In their proposal, John Wieland suggested a low-density, owner-occupied residential development including city parks and a multi-use trail.

The proposal reserves space for the city to  sell  3-acres for future  commercial development. The full proposal has been posted to the city’s website,  www.dunwoodyga.gov, and is listed under the “Project Renaissance” button.

The city has pitched Project Renaissance as a partnership that will mix green space, homes, shops and possibly a municipal complex  to revamp the city’s struggling Georgetown commercial area.
