Georgia Perimeter College laid off nearly 300 employees on Monday, June 18, in an effort to cope with a $25 million projected shortfall, according to Reporter Newspaper partner CBS Atlanta.
CBS Atlanta reported on Monday that staffers at GPC campuses carried boxes to their cars after hearing they no longer had jobs at the university. Former GPC president Anthony Tricoli left in May after auditors discovered the shortfall.
