The Fourth of July is frequently referred to as summer’s midpoint, when those lazy, crazy days start moving a little faster toward fall and the beginning of school.

It is also a day of celebrating our country’s independence, and across this nation we note “our birthday” in many different ways: waving flags, drinking refreshing beverages, enjoying cook-outs, and attending parades and fireworks. So get off the couch and out of the air conditioning, and celebrate the fabulous Fourth in style!

Here is just a sampling of Fourth of July activities in the Reporter Newspaper communities.
