The Buckhead Business Association during its Oct. 25 luncheon honored three public safety employees for their service.
The awards, presented during the BBA’s Signature Luncheon, went to:
– Lt. Bret Bieri with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department for his years of service.
– Deputy Evan Shaw with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department for his off-duty heroics in responding to an accident involving a tractor
trailer.
– Officer Ronald Stoddard with the Atlanta Police Department, who was working during the event and could not attend. Stoddard foiled an armed robber by using data from a stolen iPhone to track down the suspect using “ping” signals to determine the suspect’s location.
