A three-part series of free lectures on Sandy Springs history begins in November and will include talks on Native Americans, early settlers and the Civil War.

Heritage Sandy Springs and the Sandy Springs Historic Preservation Society are putting together the lecture series titled “Sandy Springs Crossroads of History.”

Planned are lectures on “Indian Trails and Pioneer Tales,” Nov. 14; “Settlement to Soldiers,” Dec. 5; and “The Civil War and Sandy Springs,” Dec. 19.

The lectures, by Clarke Otten of the Sandy Springs Preservation Society, are to be delivered at Heritage Hall, 6110 Bluestone Road.
