Visitors to the 2013 Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show can get an exclusive look and a chance to shop hundreds of the newest boats and accessories that the boating world has to offer. Georgia’s premier boat show anchors today through Sunday, Jan. 13 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Hours for the show are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults 16 and older.

Some new things to check out this year:

· ‘The Queen of the Show’ Sea Ray 540 Sundancer: Climb aboard the boat show’s largest boat beauty – MarineMax’s 54-foot luxury yacht, worth nearly $2 million, complete with spacious living area, two bedrooms and heads (bathrooms), galley (kitchen) and the latest technologies.

· The latest water sports and fitness trend – stand-up paddle boards: Find the newest stand-up paddle board products and discover why this sport (SUP), one of the fastest growing water activities, is all the rage.

· Russian Tupolev spy boat: During the Cold War arms buildup, the former Soviet Republic developed some bizarre weapons, vehicles and boats that were never mass produced, and now visitors at the 2013 boat show will have a rare chance to see one up close.

· Unveiling of new boat lift: Hi-Tide Sales is introducing its new Launch Pad Lift Gen 2. The product’s predecessor, a top performer in the floating lift market, has been enhanced to fit into 10’ slips and promises to be a favorite among lake boaters.

· There will also be budget friendly boats, new marine electronics and fun stuff for kids to do, including a chance to meet SpongeBob Squarepants.

  1. This will be a fun and exciting event that people of all ages will love but most especially to boat enthusiasts around the world. Different boats will be showcased with their different specs and designs. Always wonderful to see something new.
