The principal of North Springs Charter High School has announced she will resign.

In a letter parents and faculty, North Springs Governance Board Chairman Michael Granish said Lisa Stueve will end her contract with the school in June.

Stueve, who has been principal of North Springs for five years, said she wants to spend more time with her family.

“As many of you know, Dr. Stueve has had a challenging year with the health issues of her parents and now the recent death of her mother just a few weeks ago. She has decided with her daughter’s impending graduation from high school and becoming a college freshman that she is going to take some time off to care for her father and refocus her energy on her family. While she has already been approached with other options, she is deciding to take her time and we respect her wishes,” Granish said in the letter.
