Moving in the Spirit will host a public reception for the exhibit “Believe in Me: Dancing from the Inside Out” featuring photographs by J.D. Scott on March 27 beginning at 6 p.m.. The artist will guide guests through the exhibit, which portrays Moving in the Spirit , ages 14-18. The dancers will also present two performances during the evening.

“Believe in Me: Dancing from the Inside Out” consists of 20 life-sized photographs portraying the hopes, dignity and dreams of Moving in the Spirit students and alumni. Testimonials from the dancers and Moving in the Spirit’s Artistic Director, Dana Lupton, accompany each portrait, speaking to the students’ transformation into confident, compassionate leaders through the arts.

The event and exhibition is at The Loudermilk Center, Conference Level, 40 Courtland St. NE. There will be a wine reception and tours beginning at 6 p.m. with performances at 6:20 and 7:20 p.m.
