To mark the upcoming production of Sister Act: The Musical at the Fox Theatre, Broadway in Atlanta has teamed up with WXIA-11 Alive, the Atlanta Foundation for Public Space’s Spring Festival on Ponce for The Nun Dash. The event, which will be benefit CURE Childhood Cancer, will be held April 13 at noon at Olmsted Linear Park during the Festival on Ponce. The fun run will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most people dressed as nuns.

The Nun Dash will consist of a quarter-mile run in full nun attire, which includes the habit, white coif and black veil along with suitable black shoes. Cost to participate will be $10 for children 12 and under, $20 for adults (or $35 for adult with costume). Participants of all ages are encouraged to join and can purchase a costume during pre-registration online or can register online or day of event and provide their own costume.
