City Council members want more information from Fulton County Schools about plans to replace Heards Ferry Elementary and might make a formal request to the school system on Tuesday.

The meeting agenda for April 2 includes a “Resolution regarding the future of Heards Ferry Elementary School.”

In the resolution, the council asks for a direct line of communication with Fulton County Schools about the project.

“Such communication must take place before plans for the placement of a new school proceed,” the resolution says.
