During its April 2 meeting, Sandy Springs City Council awarded two contracts for paving projects.

City Council awarded the 2013 Capital Paving Contract to Northwest Georgia Paving, the low bidder. The contract is worth $2.4 million.

Council members also awarded a contract for local maintenance and improvement, funded with Georgia Department of Transportation money. The city awarded the $738,590 contract to E.R. Snell, the low bidder.

According to documents reviewed by the council, GDOT Funding will reimburse the city up to $590,060. The city will be responsible for the remaining $148,529.
