Dunwoody residents soon will be able to get an introduction to city departments through a new cycle of informational videos city officials are planning.
Each of the “Spotlight Series” videos will offer a look into a city department, the city said in a press release April 9 announcing the project. The videos will be available on the city’s website or the city’s channel on YouTube, the press release said.
Residents are encouraged to submit questions for city officials to be answered through the project, the city said. Responses from department heads will posted on YouTube at www.youtube.com\cityofdunwoody , the city said. Questions and inquiries can be submitted by video and sent directly to the city through a link or by email to news@dunwoodyga.gov, the city said.
The first set of videos is to be released over the next several weeks. They will focus on the city’s public works, community development, municipal court, finance and administration and police departments and the city manager.
“The goal is to build stronger relationships with our residents by utilizing new and popular media making the city more approachable and more widely available,” Bob Mullen, the city’s marketing and public relations director, said in the release. “We want it to become an interactive experience and grow to the point of creating a real dialog between residents and their government.”
